I feel it is a wonderful and Genius of an Idea the Scientists helped Mankind, so that Survivors during Earth disasters unknowingly, can know the ways of Living of making Food to usage of water, with Dressing and building shelters.

you have a very good and noble thought dear friend, but my first question is after the disaster- how will the survivors reach the moon?

anyways! they might help them in other minor things. for the moment nothing like mass disastor is going to occur. Humans have yet not become so deadly to the nature. hope we realise the mistakes soon.
