So today i was involved in an accident, i was on the lane next to the double yellow lines and the person who hit me was on the line by the curve which was right next to me. There was a city bus in front of him and we were both going about the same speed, the bus started slowing down and he stepped on the gas to change lanes and get in front of me but i also stepped on the gas because i didn't want to brake and let him in. so he moved into my lane and i served into the double yellow lines but he still hit my right side of my car. i pulled over and i was so mad that i started yelling at him. "didn't you see me or are you blind?", i asked him and he was trying to tell me that i was the one who hit him. My car got damaged from the mirror Thur the back side and he only had a dent in between both of his doors. The driver also told me that the car wasn't his it was a rental car, the car i was driving wasn't mine either it was my boyfriends moms car. is that going to effect me in any way? there was two men in the car and both of them got out and corner me by my car just yelling at me. i called the police and the cop heard my side and his side of the story. so my questions are will i be the only who loses because it wasn't my car(car i was driving has full coverage) and I'm worried about the cops taking their side since I'm 16 by the way i have a licenses.
