Today my TV in my living room went black in the middle of a show yet the other 2 TV's in the house still work.

Could it be the picture tube went or could there be something wrong with the actual TV. The TV is about 7-8 yrs old. It is a Zenith TV if that helps. None of the wires or cables attached to the TV are unplugged or damaged. Any suggestions on what might be the problem or possible solutions.

It would be pretty safe to assume that your TV has had it's day , especially if it has no sound as well because the other 2 TVs are still working.

You would probably be better off buying a new one if you can afford to , otherwise it will need to be repaired.

It may not be the picture tube but a problem with the electrical wiring inside the TV.

If it continues you need to replace the TV as it could be a fire hazard.

Does it turn off or just go black?  Did it return to a picture?

I had the same problem.. Its the Picture tube..
