Does anyone know if this spray can be used on any fruit or vegetable? Like broccoli, romaine lettuce, spinach… and so on or can it be used only for things with a peal?

INGREDIENTS

1 cup water

1 cup distilled white vinegar

1 Tbsp. baking soda

20 drops of grapefruit seed extract

Combine all ingredients in a large container. Then, transfer to a spray bottle with a pump. Spray mixture on produce, and rinse thoroughly after 5 to 10 minutes.

  1. you can use it on any veggies.  Thats the great thing about this mix is that it will clcean all of your veggies and there are no toxic chemicals in it like most sprays and cleaners.  So spray away and enjoy

  2. oprah has had all the therapists, doctors, psychologists on her show yet she still cant get her health and love life straight. she is the LAST person i'd turn to about food or anything for that matter.

  3. Not sure why you would want to go to the trouble to make this concoction.  Here's my thought -

2 TBS white vinegar in 1 Qt. water in a spray bottle.

Don't fall for the "Kitchen Sink Chemistry" BS.  Where in the world would you go to find Grapefruit Seed Extract where it wouldn't cost $25 a bottle?  Maybe Oprah can afford it, but it sounds like voodoo chemistry on Earth Day to me.

Sorry...don't mean to sound so cranky...I had a long day today.

    Bug Doc

  4. you can buy veggie spray..........

  5. why go through the trouble, just buy the ready mix at any decent organic store and yes u can use this on anything...all of this stuff is edible

  6. very cool concept.

  7. sorry i dont watch opera

  8. i was just watching oprah this morning and wondering the exact same thing!! omg!!

i think that if you spray it on veggies that are not "peelable", you have to wash out the spray afterwards...if not, probably the vegetable will taste like vinegar....yuck!! :)

  9. oh just use water.

  10. I do not watch Oprah.

she is deceived of the Devil.

  11. You can use it on any veggie/fruit.  It's not necessary to wash veggies and fruits that you peel (ie: oranges, bananas, onions) because you peel off the outer layer.
