  1. Hahaha. You really need to stop being so stuck up. Really, your there to get an education and maybe you will also learn how to make friends that don't meet your "good looks" standards.

  2. if u have to spend 4 years there i suggest switch schools. or maybe just try to fit in and make some friends. theres bound to be some good people there. 1st day is always the worst. if that doesnt work out just switch. good luck!

  3. Do your best this year - get perfect grades so you can transfer to any school you like next year.   My son barely got through HS but did a great job with a 3.8 in his first year at a college he hated too.

He transferred to a school he never would have gotten into straight from High School.    This year will give you the chance to bury your head in your books and ignore your surroundings for now and just focus on the school you would rather be at next year.    Get busy.

....just focus on getting excellent grades and you'll be out of there before you know it!...hang in there good luck to you!!

  4. You sound like u got a real hard year ahead of you. It sounds like u might need a complete attitude change to get thru it. Why did u choose that College to attend> You must have gone to see it before u put in your application.  Sounds like you just might have a bigtime

case of Homesickness. Give it a little time and don't be so hard on everyone or they might decide that you just aren't worth the effort to cultivate. Loosen up. Good Luck

  5. Have you considered joining the military?

The military has their own engineers and by serving in the military under a similar civilian job you can actually earn enough credits to get your AA and even your Bachelors in addition you can also get 4,500 a year for school while actively serving and once you are out 80,000 for your education. If you stay enlisted for 10+ Years you can also transfer your 80,000 to your children or anyone you would like!

Think about it its real world experience, looks excellent on a resume, and has many benefits and not evey military job see's combat in fact most don't!

BTW: Military doesn't always mean army only..there is Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coastguard.

I am not in the military but know many members of this countries great military who currently are or have previously served and they had a lot of fun learned a lot and also many now have currently or are obtaining degrees for FREE!

  6. Stop it your being really shallow the whole point of going to college is to further pursue your education dont worry about what your classmates look like. that shouldnt matter just focuss on keeping your grades up.

  7. You need some serious psychological help.  Get to a psychologist or psychiatrist as soon as you can.  Sounds to me like you need some medication or a reality check.

  8. It will seriously get better, just wait it out. The first few days/weeks will be hard, you will get homesick, you will miss old friends, you will slowly begin to hate your classes, but during this time period you will also branch out and meet more people, and believe me, I doubt you saw/met every single kid in your school

  9. The first day always sucks. You have to give it awhile longer before you judge it. Maybe your mind will change as you make more friends. If not then consider transferring somewhere. There is no reason that you are forced to stay there the entire 4 years!

  10. Culture shock.

I know about culture shock; After graduating from a class of 16, my first class here at NCSU had more people in it than my entire high school twice over.

There's nothing I or anyone can say that will alone make your college experience more pleasant. I think that if you engage yourself, you'll find that these things are not so much unpleasant as they are unfamiliar. You'll adapt in short order.

PS: "class mates are even ugly."

... Seriously? Tough it out, man, it can't possibly be all bad, especially if it's an engineering college. Not every girl that sits three rows down from you is gonna be a supermodel.

  11. as its your first day give it time things might change .

  12. Well first off, don't commit suicide. It's not worth it. I was really depressed the first week or two when I started college. You're away from home and everything is new and unusual. But college is about finding yourself and getting an education. Most of my best friends I met in college. Give it a chance and if, after your first semester, you still don't like it then switch schools. I would also recommend talking to a therapist or psychiatrist to help with your feelings. Hang in there. Things will get better!

  13. Give it a few more days and take notice if the classes are as bad as everything else. If you really can't stand it get out of there just make sure you do everything formally and officially through administration or else they may keep you enrolled and you will fail because you never attended classes and they still have you registered. There is usually a period where you can get out before it hurts yours gpa and standing.

  14. if u r really feeling so frustrated then u should leave that college bcoz it is the question of ur future and it would also have a psychological impact on u.

  15. You should have done your homework on picking out your college, now they all have to put up with you.
