  1. i dont really know what to say as im gonna face it in uhhhh foud days and i am scared to death. but i try to think of how excited he is now and i hope that he really enjoys himself. i cant wait for the first time he can read ME a bedtime story

  2. It is perfectly normal for the 2 of you to be upset on her first day of school. I work in the main office of an elementary school and our office is directly across the hall from the 3 kindergarten classes. Trust me, she is not the only one that is a little scared, but she will have a great time. When she comes home from school everyday ask her about her day. If you are worried about her, you can check into volunteering to be a room mother. Try to go to any parties, events, concerts, etc. her school puts on to see her with her class. Also try to talk to the other mothers, they probably feel the same way. Perhaps you can get together with a few of the other mothers while the children are in school for moral support and bonding. Each day will get a little easier. Good luck!

  3. be strong mommy look on the brighter side. you have the house to yourself you can do whatever whenever. I'm sure shes having a hoot by now

  4. OMG the same thing happened 2 me when my parents drop off for my 1st day. bcuz i started a few days late. & i realized that most of the kids had already made friends & i felt like an outcaster but after a while my teacher brought me over 2 sum of the other kids. & we were playin & i 4got all about bein away 4rm my mom....so u dont have n e thing 2 worry about...im sure she's having fun rite now

  5. it's A-OK! turst me at frist she'll probally be a little nervous but trust me when kids are in kindergarden, they make friends VERY fast! i went through it, except i was the kid. At dinner you won't get a word in!

she will probally talk about it all night and you should be happy for her!

i know how hard it is to let go, but look on the bright side it's not college!

  6. It's okay Mommy, you'll both get stronger with it.  She's probably having a ball by now.

  7. Lol I know how you feel when my daughter started kindergarten I came back home with my 3 y/o son and soon as we walk through the door he started crying and I did everything so I couldn't cry.  My daughter never went to daycare or preschool so she was with me all the time and I wasn't use to her being away.  Now my daughter is starting middle school on Monday, and I know I might need tissue. lol

And one more thing, my daughter didn't cry or try to go with me, I told her bye and she was like bye.  I thought she would cry and want to go home with me.  The first week was kind of hard because at the end of the first day I asked her how was her day and she told me that the teacher was "mad".  She told me that she didn't want to go back, but everything work out she made friends, and some are still her friends to this day.

  8. You know... there is not much I can tell you. I know what you are going through and the best thing is to cry and wait a couple of days until you feel better.

When you pick her up make sure you ask about her day and what she did. Ask about friends and teacher - try to get glues to make sure she is safe and happy at school and that should make you feel better.
