Todays my step dad's birthday? gift question.?

Well todays my step dad's birthday. I didn't have the chance to buy him anything & hes not really into materialistic things..

Can you give some advice? Or even if it is a gift, what do you recommend?

I was thinking of making a cake, because im really good at cooking.

Also... hes turning 55.

Hmmm...you are nice! making him a cake is cool! change the 55 into 35 on the cake and that will make his day!
