Todd Pletcher aiming to land the United Nations Stakes with Turbo Compressor

Trainer Todd Pletcher has downed the Grade 1, 500,000 United Nations Stakes three times already, and he is looking to saddle his fourth winner in this event with the four-year-old, Turbo Compressor.
The 1 1/8 mile event will take place at Monmouth Park on 7th July, 2012, and this time it has attracted a field of seven runners.
The trainer is counting on the son of Halo's Image, out of mare Dixieland Event, who recently notched a victory in the Colonial Turf Cup at Colonial Downs on 16th June, 2012, where he rode under, Joe Bravo.
Courtesy of his swift pace, he completed the 1 3/16 mile course in 1 minute and 55.15 seconds, and finished before, Air Support, while the third place was secured by, Rahystrada.
Joe Bravo will be aboard, Turbo Compressor again, hoping to deliver a performance of the same caliber, and bag the money.
Provided, the P and G Stable & Off The Hook Racing owned runner succeeds in this race, he will earn an automatic spot in the Grade 1, $3 million Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita Park, which is due to take place on 3rd November,
2012 since this is  a Breeders’ Cup ‘Win and You’re In’ event.
Air Support, son of Smart Strike, out of mare Gaze, has made up his mind on two things, one to win this race, and the second to take revenge on Turbo Compressor.
The Claude R. McGaughey III trained runner has not bagged a victory in his last three starts, but he triumphed in the Grade 2 Virginia Derby in 2011, where he completed the 1 ¼ mile course in 2 minutes and 0.80 seconds to beat, Banned.
The Simon Callaghan trained, Slim Shadey, is entering as a high-weight with 120 pounds, and he will be paired with jockey, David Romero Flores.
The Phil Cunningham owned gelding was paired with the same rider in the Grade 1 Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap, which covered a distance of 1 ¼ miles.
The four-year-old’s performance was commendable since he finished second to, Acclamation.
Trainer Todd Pletcher’s previous runners include Balto Star in 2003 and English Channel in 2006 and 2007, and he is hoping that Turbo Compressor will be lucky number 4.
