  1. Well kids start hearing frequent words it might come to them and say in  mumbled way at first and then they can arrange it to make it sound better. Hoped I helped.

  2. Anywhere between 9 to about 15 months is average. My brat was a little early at 7 months, she was sitting on the floor by my kitchen sink and I was across the room. I burnt myself on the oven door and said goshdangit(the explicit version, oops) and my little turkey sat up straight, said it exactly right and grinned at me. But she didn't say anything else really until about 13 months when she learned No, good girl, and nanas house. Now she's 19 months and still uses some visual commands(she'll bring me her sippy and grab my arm and place her cup there and says please) but she says thank you, no, mama, dada, hi, bye, billys hose(grandma's dogs name)  and her favorite thing to say is "mama, we go wing in the pak? (swing in the park, lol) please, and i good girl, which is usually what she says as she deserts the field after her latest mess of some sort.  She also says the names of her favorite characters on tv, and she's starting to "sing" when our evening show comes on(we watch Reba and she runs to the tv and croons and sways around while the intro is playing). Of course, I understand her a lot more than anyone else cause I'm with her all day and we work on pronunciation. Good luck and enjoy the stage before they run and jump and talk and scream and throw things, lol.

  3. My sisters first word was her name *Anna*

  4. My son was around 12 months old with his first word.  It was DeeDee, which was a rename of our dog, Lexi.  He calls her Say-Dee now.  He's getting closer!!

He said this before Mommy, Daddy, or anything else.  He's still super attached to her.
