  1. My daughter did the same thing recently when we were at the playground. It swelled up alot and bled quite a bit as well. It took a couple of days for the swelling to subside completely. As long as it doesn't get infected you shouldn't have to go to the doctor. And if you think it's hurting him try giving him an icepop to numb it up.

  2. awwww take him to the doctor and carefull what u put i his mouth it can be sensitive. i had that acciden it was alright dont feel bad it was an accident it happens

  3. Yes, it would be best if you take your baby to the doctor.

  4. Aww :(

I think he will be fine but, Yes, if you get worried, take him to the doctor, when I was younger, (A toddler) I was at daycare and this kid sat on me and i bit off part of my tongue, Everything is fine now, but I woudnt worry to much about it, And dont cry! IT was an accident! It wasnt your fault

    :)

  5. that happened to my son (13 months) last night & mouths do bleed alot, we tried to take him to the ER but he fell asleep, then we were up off & on all night with him screaming.

We took him to the Dr. this morning they told us that it was fine as long as it stopped bleeding & he didn't lose consiciousness or anything, anyway he had forgotten about it by morning.

Just don't give your son any juice or anything that may irritate his mouth (sugary, salty, etc.) They also said we could give him a little baby tylonel or motrin if needed. But there is no need to worry because the salivia will keep his mouth clean.

Try not to cry, ( i almost did too cuz i felt so helpless) but no matter how close you watch him things will still happen to curious little babies.

oh & my husband said "oh dont worry he'll get hurt alot more & worse when he gets bigger" MEN!

  6. Hey if the laceration is more than an inch and a half long and if it is constantly bleeding and is bothering your son you should take him to see a physician. If it is not that bad you can give him some Anbesol (which is an oral anesthetic) to relieve the pain.
