Toddler is anti-phone?

My son is 2 1/2, and every time I get on the phone, (not very often) He goes ballistic, and takes that opportunity to climb on the counters, or get into something else he isnt supposed to. They are so smart, he must know I cant concentrate on everything at once. He knows the perfect time to work his master plan! Anyone else have this problem??

  1. I think everyone has this problem. The thing is that your child knows he doesnt have your attention. Before you make a call or when you get a call, take a second to let him know your paying attention to him and get him something to do. Get a crayons and coloring book or blocks and sit there next to him and talk on the phone. You may not be talking to him but pick up a crayon and color here and there,or if he's playing with blocks or something stack some with him.
