Toddlers, private parts and curiosity!?

My husband takes our 2 year old daughter swimming and she is starting to become curious about body parts. At what age does it become unacceptable for a child to see their same s*x or opposite s*x parent naked.

if the dad is uncomfortable, then the child should no longer see him naked. there's no problem with a 2 year old seeing her dad without clothes, but little children pick up on their parent's emotional state. if the little girl senses that dad is tense, she will begin to feel like there is something bad or wrong about bodies or nudity. you dont want her to feel uncertain about why dad is nervous whenever he's naked.

a child develops a sense of modesty at a certain age. usually not until 5 or 6 or later. until that point the child just sees penises or vaginas or b*****s like fingers and toes and noses.... just another body part... unless you teach them differently. if you teach them that there is something special about genital parts, then they will know that much. even then they won't understand anything about the sexual nature of them.

use your instincts. if you or your husband feel uncomfortable with it, then change the way she goes to the pool!

When they start asking questions about why parts look different its time to stop exposing opposite s*x parents/siblings.

i think same s*x is ok until they go to school and opposite s*x until age 2 or 3
