Toddlers and animals sensing something I don't know?

When I first moved in with hubby, the cat never came near me or him for that matter..Two months ago while watching tv and eating she jumped on my lap and did the purry-scratchy thing on my tummy, since then she hasn't been on my tummy but she's been following me around and watching my every move! Hubby has a 3 year old son from previous relationship, the other day while I was giving him a bath (on HIS request that I bath him and not daddy), daddy asked him if I'm going to be a mommy and he said yes. Well since this and the cat I've been doing several hpt's and one blood test, The blood test was negative, some hpt's were negative, some were VERY VERY VERY faint. Only symptoms I have are blue veins everywhere, extremely tired and emotional, lighter periods for 3 months now, slight abdominal and lower back pain, increased appetite for sweets and I don't even eat sweets,my metabolism has slowed down, don't go #2 as often as I usually did(sorry TMI),and it feels like I'm pregnant, but with all the negative tests I'm starting to think it's my imagination. But then again I think about the cat and little one saying I'm gonna be a mommy. Do they sense things before we even know something is going on??? Please no nasty answers,I'm really confused.

  1. I believe so, my husbands dog, for the last few weeks has been following me around. Now, that I know I'm pregnant she seems to follow me more, she gets anxious when I leave the house (she never was before) she watches me when I get up and leave the room and if I'm gone for more then 5 minutes she will come find me. She lays near me, and is more attached to me then ever.

  2. You got a faint positive? was that after the blood test?

  3. Yes, pets for sure know when something is up.  But it may not be that you are pregnant since all the blood tests came up negative.  If you are having lighter periods and are tired ... you may actually have something else going on.  Maybe a cyst or something like that on your ovaries??  Best to have it all checked out.
