Toe cap bindings?

What are toe cap bindings used for? Pros cons? Any general informaiton on them.

  1. They push your boots deeper into the heelcup therefore making your boot as a whole much tighter. I'd never go back to over toe straps.


  2. i highly suggest toe caps. they keep your feet much more tightly bound and pull your feet further back in your bindings. Also they seem to give me more control of the board and make your carving much tighter. for me its a must have

  3. they kind of keep ur feet in the bindings so they dont come loose.

  4. they are leaps and bounds better than traditional toe straps.  Like stated above, the cap straps push the boot all the way back into the binding which gives you more response on your heelside turn and also allows you to tighten your midstrap even tighter.  And because the strap goes out over the toes instead of over the top of them they create more leverage.

  5. I have the 2008 Flux Team Target Bindings which have the toe caps I could live without them but My feet do feel more supported and tighter than with just regular straps I don't see anything wrong with them.
