Is tofu actually a product that is really good for you, or just better for you as compared to meat? Is there anything you would be missing from meat that you can't make up for?

  1. tofu is just a cheap protein source. But it is also manufactured and standards vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.  While tofu (or beter yet bean curd) in itself is a good source of protein, some manufaturer's standards are lower so theri products may be contaminated or not totally hygeinic. In that sense, it may not be good for you.

    Being a food, over consumption may to problems as with over consumption of any food. also iot must be a part of an overall healthy diet.


  2. Well of course it is better for you compared to meat, but tofu itself is actuall very good for you and has many nutrients.

    Not  sure I understand your last q. You can get all your nutrients from plant sources and do not need meat.

    and no.. meat isn't important to a diet...

    nuts and tofu and many other foods have proteins

  4. tofu is very good for you and has no cholesterol like most meat does!
