Toilet flushing problem?

when flushing the first time, tank refills fine , water in bowl empties normally but water refills only half-way in bowl. when flushing the second time. tank empties and refill fine but water does notdrain from bowl but the water level becomes normal in bowl. so it takes me two tries to complete one flush. need help.

Inside the tank in the back is a float. It is most likely adjusted too low. There is usually a little bolt you can use a pair of pliers to adjust it and raise the float higher. This will take care of your problem.

that black pump in the toilet that ledge on it, yeah, it's loose so just find a way to tighten it

Two things to check:

Check your float that it is not hung up on anything like the chain.

2nd, check your drain stop on the bottom of the tank.  That may not be closing properly.

You may also need to replace the guts of the inside of the tank.

It is not expensive and easy to do.

Caution with using bleach tabs in the tank, they will disintegrate the rubber components.

more than likely the valve no longer seats correctly...probably the water...might need to change the ball float valve...good luck

the best way to fix this would to change out the guts,($20.00-lowes)  and about 30 minutes. It will cost you few bucks but will save aggrivation now and future.

    to fix ur current problem something could be keeping your flapper from closing, maybe chain getting caught.

    ur float ball may need to be adjusted, should this be the ball/rod you can adjust it by slightly bending it to allow more water to fill.

   You can always just replace the toilet,  Easy to do, cost $90.00 and it includes the guts. Takes about hour.
