  1. lift the top off the chain is hung up under the stopper

  2. The toilet is not flushing it's filling.

Water is leaking by the flapper valve and draining the tank down and what you hear is the tank filling back up.

You could jiggle the handle and it may stop the leaking but the flapper valve will need to be replaced (easy and cheap to replace) if the chain isn't hanging up causing the problem.

  3. If your just hearing the tank filling, you probably have a bad flapper valve. These are available at hardware stores and very easy to replace.

  4. turn off the water to the toilet,  flush it,  and then it will stop

  5. No its not hunted. Its only my powers.... LOL. you wanna change all the parts inside the toilet tank.. go to home depot they have all those parts. Let me fix your toilet. LOL

  6. Lift the top of the tank (be careful, they can be heavy and breakable) and you should see something that looks like a rod with a round float thing at the end. Where the float is attached, follow that tube down and at the floor of the tank is going to be a flapper looking think covering a hole in the tank.

Check that flapper thing to assure there is no obstructions that would cause it not to seal when it's in the closed position. The tank water is clean water so no worry about getting yucky.

If all that fails, there should be a pipe with a valve on it just beside the toilet. if you are facing the valve head on, turn it to the right to turn off the water supply until someone can look at your situation. You can turn on the valve again if the need to use the toilet occurs to refill the tank for flushing.

  7. turn the water off .....  behind your toilet on the bottom you should see a k**b thing keep turning it and the water should stop it from flushin and when you need to use it just turn the water back on ... call a plumber get it looked at.

  8. replace fixture inside toilet

  9. OK kid...U need to shut the water off.  Because, the flopper is leaking and some one has to replace it.  That means some 1 has to go buy a flopper and replace it.  If u don't want to hear that running noise...that's the only option for now.  So look under the tank.. will see a shut-off valve and shut it off by turning clockwise until it stops.  U should not hear any running water now.  So, tell a adult in the morning and they will get it fix.
