Toledo, Spain Adventure?

I will soon be moving to Toledo, Spain and would like to know how the nightlife is, interesting things to do in and around the town, and ease of going from Toledo to other parts of Europe (say Italy) for vacation during breaks in school year.

Don't know the night life in Toledo, but you can reach Madrid by train in half an hour; for Italy, is better a plane from Madrid: two hours to reach Milan, two hours and twenty for Rome.
