  1. Yes! It is possible to train Milo at this age. You must begin with a good feeding and water routine. Set times for your dog to eating. A young dog needs to eat several times a day, so this means he must also eliminate several times a day. Feeding should be sheduled (whenever possible) when someone is home to allow your pet to eliminate after wards. Remember puppies have a small capacity to hold urine and need to eliminate within 10 to 20 minutes after eating or immediately after walking or playing. Your training will be successful if you take your puppy out at these times. When your puppy goes outside, for the first few times, be with him to make sure he urinates. First he must eliminate then he is able to play outside. You may need to confine your puppy in the early stages of training in  a crate or and area with a floor that is easy to clean. (just o be safe) If your puppy eliminates in the house, do not bring him back and punish him. Unless you reward or punish him within 15 seconds or less, the puppy doesn`t know what it`s being punished for. If your puppy begins to squat in a loud voice yell "Outside" or "No" (doesn`t matter what word you use as long as it`s the same every time.) The quickly take your puppy out to the appropriate location for elimination. If he eliminates, switch gears and praise him profusely.

  2. Dogs don't use toilets. Teach him to go outside.

  3. weve just trained our german Shepard. We used these scented mat things really cant tell you what ther called tho i dont no. Every time u see the dog ready too pee pick it up and place it onto the hmat or the newspaper. This should be kept and the back and front door of your home, if the dog then pees on the mat treat the dog and give it lots of praise, slowly the dog will then learn to go too the mat which is at the back door. if the dog does go to the toilet on the floor just make sure u do tell it off so he knows rong from right.

    Good luck

  4. Train him the same way as you would a younger pup.

    Here's what I did.

I took my dog outside as much as I could, to the same spot and said "toilet".

When he would go I would praise him or give him a treat.

If he went inside I never punished him, but if I caught him in action I would say "no", then direct him to the spot I wanted him to go, and say "toilet". He soon got the hang of it. It is about repition, doing it over and over and over again until he gets what you mean.

I would always toilet him last thing at night, 10pm and I would wake during the night to let him go.

Theres a good book that talks about toilet training called 'The power of positive dog training' by Pat Miller. Its really good.

Just be patient, your little fella will catch on.

    Good Luck.

  5. Yes it is still possible to train your puppy!  I recommend the book or video series by Cesar Millan.
