Tolpuddle Steve hot favourite for The Romforddogs.com Sprint
Tolpuddle Steve is expected to dominate proceedings in The Romforddogs.com Sprint at Romford in England on Friday, April 27, 2012. The triumphant hound will be awarded a cash prize of £175.
It will be important for all the runners to be quick at the start, as the distance to cover for them will be 225 metres. The stamina will not really count today, but speed will definitely make a difference.
The Grade OR event has attracted six quality hounds and their names are as follows: Tolpuddle Steve, Knights Pride, West Way Ranger, Raithby Lee, Hercules and Zenas Jack.
Out of the above mentioned hounds, Tolpuddle Steve has managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers. He has performed well at this level and the punters will definitely place a lot of bets in his favour.
The J. A. White’s trained hound is carrying terrific momentum at the moment, as he was victorious in his most recent race. He was rated favourite back then as well and lived up to the expectations of everyone in the end.
No one was able to come anywhere closer to the black dog, as he cruised to a comfortable victory by more than four lengths. He is expected to deliver a similar performance today as well, but will need a clear run in order to do so.
Tolpuddle Steve is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Broadacres Mist and was born in December 2009.
The bookies also expect Knights Pride to be strong in the race at Romford today, as his recent form has been excellent. He was rated favourite in his previous outing and ran to a comfortable victory in the end. Prior to that, he took part in a few trial
events and was successful in all of them.
The S. Cahill’s trainee will definitely attract a lot of bets today and it will be hard for others to match his speed. He is a terrific starter and if he gets a clear run, no one will be able to come anywhere closer to him.
Knights Pride is the son of Razldazl Billy out of Cailin Liath and was born in July 2008.
It seems very difficult for the rest of the runners to match the top two favourites, as they are in spectacular form.
