Tom Brady, Bill Belichick head to Pebble Beach
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have reached California to play the upcoming tournament AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, slated to take place from Thursday, February 9, 2012.
Both persons are the National Football League stars and are associated with the New England Patriots. Belichick coaches the team, while Brady plays as a quarterback.
Both of them will be joining the field and will be making their appearance at Pebble Beach Golf Links, California.
Tony Romo, Dallas quarterback, is also in the field, as he has teamed up with the great American golfer, Tiger Woods.
Belichick’s and Brady’s presence at Pebble Beach is due to the dropped catch of Romo, while playing against the Giants.
As a result, the Giants reached the Super Bowl and they defeated the Patriots with a great margin.
This is why the coach and the quarterback player of Patriots made up their mind about playing at the mega golf tournament of the Professional Golf Association Tour.
If the Pats had won the match against the Giants, they would not have come to California for this golf tournament in the first place.
Their loss at NFL benefitted their fans, who can see them play golf in their region.
This mega event is in the eyes of every follower and player. It is gaining respect and interest from all over the world.
Similarly, it is also attracting players from the other sports as well. Hence, the NFL stars will be showing their appearance at the Pebble Beach with the world leading golf players.
The field is set now and the golfers will be teaming up with celebrities to increase the interest for the tournament.
Now every single eye is waiting to see their favourites while teeing off in front of them.
AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am has a tremendous history. It started in 1937 and successfully passed 50 years. The total prize this year is $6,400,000 and the winner will earn $1,134,000.
The highest score of the four-day tournament is 20-under par. Mark O’ Meara and Phil Mickelson are the successful players to have the honour of making highest scores in 1997 and 2007, respectively.
The NFL stars and golf professionals at the Pebble Beach will be attracting local and foreign followers of both NFL and golf.
A tough battle between the players is expected and the coming four days will be filled with thrill and excitement for all.
