Tom Brady and New England Patriots get ready for next game – NFL News Update
The excitement over the 45-10 win against Denver Broncos has pretty much subsided for New England Patriots as they get ready to face the next challenge posed by Baltimore Ravens.
Ravens are no easy match.
They are physically tough and pose a challenge in all three phases of the game. Not to forget they have some of the best players in the National Football League (NFL) like Terrell Suggs, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Haloti Ngata.
This is what the Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady had to say about the Ravens.
Talking to The Boston Globe, Brady spoke out on the Ravens' team and the next game:
"The Ravens, they're the best team we've faced all year, and there's no one that's going to overlook a team like that. It would be impossible to do. They present a ton of challenges in all three phases of the game." Brady said.
So, it all comes out to this - Brady takes Ravens to be a bigger threat than the Broncos, but at the same time, is determined to deliver.
It could possibly be one of Patriots' old tricks when Brady talks.
Commend the enemy publicly while secretly work and long to annihilate them.
Brady realises that it is post season and not the regular season where you have another chance, if you make a mistake in the game. Here one mistake could cost you the season.
He hopes to work hard to see through this new challenge and deliver something much better than their last weekend’s performance.
Excited about the next game, Brady wants to capitalize on every second of the time he has left to prepare against the Ravens and spend it wisely on practice, rest and repairing.
Other Patriots’ too are gearing up to prepare for a fight.
Patriots’ Receiver Wes Welker who was not present on the field the last time his team played in the playoffs was looking forward to the coming game but at the same time had a lot of good things to say about the Ravens.
Welker remarked:
"They're a great team, they wouldn't be in this spot if they weren't. They do some great things out there. Their defence causes a lot of turnovers. They run to the football, they tackle well, they cover well, they rush well." Welker
said.
Moreover, offensive tackle, Nate Solder said that a lot of preparation is needed to be done and they were moving on to prepare.
Going down the memory lane to 2009, Ravens had come out in the wild card round of the playoffs to hand over a 33-14 defeat to the Patriots.
There would be a burning desire in Brady to avenge that loss but he denied having any such feelings, saying the next game was not about the past but something about this week.
