Tom Cat Taking Care Of Kittens?

The father to my 2 kittens keeps cleaning them and protecting them, is that normal? does anyone else's tomcat do that?

o once had a tom who adopted a feral kitten we found on the motorway

he was very loving with her and protected her from other cats

Yep, the fathers can be really sweet to their kittens as well as the mothers.  Just be careful about putting him in with other mothers who maybe haven't had his kittens, because he'll kill them and then get the mother pregnant.

i agree with the other poster . yes it happens just be carefulespeciallyy when they get older the tom cat might get territorial if you chose to keep them. it is best to get they all fixed so that thereisn'tt any problems along that line. besides males spray andOHh it is GROSS

I have a stray Tom that is about 15 pounds and one year old. We added two stray kittens that are a month old. He looks after them and cleans them all the time. They sleep with him and follow him around. He actually watches over them. They make good Moms believe me. loll
