Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-Cleverley-c35218 has admitted that he is looking to get a call up for the national team, as he is looking to impress the future manager and make his way into the squad on a permanent basis before the Euro 2012.
Stuart Pearce, who is currently the interim boss for the England team is said to be ready to name a very young England squad for the upcoming friendly.
As a result, Cleverley, who has made sixteen appearances for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under-21 team is hopeful that he will get the call up to represent the national team, as he hopes to be a part of it on a far more regular pace.
When talking about his relationship with Pearce from his under- 21 days, Cleverley is quoted to have said: "I know Stuart Pearce quite well from my time with the Under-21s"
"He is a good manager. Hopefully I will be involved. I am not sure whether it is a good time though."
The United midfielder has had his fair share of injuries this season, as he has spent most of the season on the sidelines and has just returned to the team.
As a result, most critics believe the midfielder might not be given the opportunity to play for England, since he really hasn’t proven his worth on the big scale just yet.
However, the young midfielder doesn’t seem to be effected by all this talk, as he has admitted that his goal is to play football and prove just how good he is on the pitch.
Cleverley then went on to add: "I don't really listen to what people are saying, I just go out and play my football.
"If I can find some good form from now until the end of the season, I would be more than happy to be involved in the European Championships."
With Pearce determined to test the younger English players out, it is safe to assume that Cleverley has a very high probability of making the squad.
Nonetheless, it is still unclear as to just who is going to be included in Pearce’s England squad and it is a wait till next week to find out just who he picks.
