Tom Lewis, an aspiring golf super star, falls out of the Transitions Championship

Tom Lewis is hoping to become a golf super star in the near future, by displaying some amazing performances in the current year.
The 21-year-old English professional golf player turned professional in 2011. After becoming a pro, he played on the European Tour.
He won the title of the Portugal Masters in his debut year. He was leading by two strokes and defeated Rafael Cabrera-Bello.
He finished the tournament by scoring a 21-under 267 and amazed the spectators on the Oceanico Victoria Golf Course in Portugal.
This was his only victory in the last year and now he is hoping to become a golf star by winning more professional events.
“I know I’ve got two years in Europe. That helps,” Lewis said, “It gives me the opportunity to come here and see what standard I need to get to”.
He also played a PGA Tour event, the British Open Championship in 2011, and finished tied for the 30th position on the leaderboard.
He displayed remarkable performances on both the PGA and European Tour. Recently, he was playing in the Transitions Championship, but failed to make the cut.
Lewis scored 72 and 73 in the first and second rounds, respectively. He was only able to card six birdies, but seven bogeys and one double-bogey pushed him out of the tournament.
Jason Dufner is the current leader of the PGA's four-day tournament. He had a two-stroke lead over Padraig Harrington and William McGirt.
After two rounds, Dufner scored a 10-under 132 and secured the leading position on the leaderboard. His impressive scoring was unbeatable and he competed well with the others.
He was bogey-free in both the rounds and amazed the spectators with 10 impressive long-foot birdies.
"It was very stress free again," Dufner said. "I hit a lot of fairways and greens. It was a pretty easy 5 under again. Kind of a boring round, actually".
Lewis' early exit from the event can become a hurdle in the desired plans of becoming a star in the near future.
He can only fulfill his goals by delivering his best, alongside improving his swing, putting, driving and accuracy.
He is left with the ample opportunities in the current year on the European Tour. If he plays well and puts in extra efforts, he can be called the rising English star.
