Tom Tom Gps 300?

I have a small chip for Tom Tom 300 that only have USA maps in it, but i am planning on buying a map for USA and Canada,so i went to this website and it says "download" for $80.00 if i buy and download it does that mean the USA maps wiill be deleted and be change to Usa and Canada maps?
