Friends, i noticed that there is a 5v, 12amp rating sticker on the GPS, but all the car cigarette lighters provide 9v (or 12v perhaps). What do i do now. If i connect this GPS to my cigarrette lighter, will it break it? (I have a 2000 toyota celica)

- Thanks in advance.

  1. The TomTom ONE XL car charger have a step down voltage reducer that will allow an input of 12-14.8 volts and it will provide 5 volts to the GPS unit. You should not have any problem if you are using the factory DC power supply.

    Good Luck
