  1. All of the units will give voice instructions.  Not all of them say street names, though.  Basically the ONE units don't unless they have an S at the end, like ONE 130S.  GO units do.

  2. well first off don't get a tom tom - it's to generic get a garmin nuvi 250. They are around $299 but u can have the rep set up a payment plan for $50 a month until it's paid off.  The reason why i said "generic" is because when u come upon your destination it says "you are arriving at your destination" and thats all the info u get. On the garmin it says " you are arriving at your destination ON RIGHT".   I deliver to houses and at night time if u use the tom tom way u wont know what side of the street its on, u'll just see the flag on the unit. But the garmin way all you have to do is stay on the one side.

The only thing i liked about the tom tom that garmin dont have is, if you go over a certain speed limit you typed in like 40mph, it will ding a bell sound that you are going over the speed limit.

my advice: see if u can "RENT" both units at the same time for a week and use one unit for each day and then make up your mind.    and then u can write back if u want and let me know which one helped the most.
