Tomasz Adamek reckons David Haye is putting himself in great pressure – Boxing news
Former WBC world lightweight and former IBF, IBO cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek reckons the current WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye will be in a lot of pressure for his bout on Saturday, July 2, 2011.
The Hayemaker, Haye, will take on the IBF, WBO, and IBF world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg, Germany.
It is one of the biggest bouts in the British history and also a unification bout where all of the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles will be on the line.
Adamek believes the brash Londoner Haye will be under huge pressure as he has declared many things ahead of the biggest fight of his career.
“David Haye is putting great pressure on himself with all those declarations and knockout predictions,” said Adamek.
Though Adamek admitted Haye wants Klitschko to fight him with his complete aggression, he said Klitschko and everyone else already have sensed it and therefore this plan is not going to work.
While speaking on his inclusion, he stated, “I know – and Wlad also knows, for sure – that Haye wants Klitschko to fight an uncontrolled, very emotional fight. Not sure it will work, though. Hopefully Haye will not burn himself out, just spend his whole
energy on talking, provoking, etc.”
The Granite Chin, Adamek, remarked he would never want himself to be in a situation in which Haye currently is, as he thinks if Haye loses there would be no place on earth for him to hide.
He also mentioned Dr. Ironfist, Vitali Klitschko, who is being targeted by Haye after Wladimir’s bout. Adamek said Haye should concentrate beating Wladimir first.
He said, “I cannot imagine myself in the situation when I’m basically saying that the other guy is nothing and then be destroyed in the ring. I would vanish, change name, the whole works. Haye wants to have two wins over Klitschkos before his retirement.
Beat Wlad first, David!”
