Tomasz Adamek reveals he is in a great shape to face Vitali Klitschko – Boxing news
The former World Boxing Council world light heavyweight champion and the former IBF, IBO and The Ring magazine’s cruiserweight champion, Tomasz Adamek, is super confident ahead of his World Boxing Council Championship fight with the current WBC world heavyweight
champion, Vitali Klitschko on September 10, 2011 at the new Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw, Poland.
The Granite chin, Adamek, who holds a record of winning 44 of his 45 professional fights, with 28 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, was present in the middle of the town square City Hall in Wroclaw with Vitali for their final pre-fight press conference.
Adamek claimed he is in a great shape and hopefully will put on a great show for his fans. The Polish pugilist Adamek, who is known for having an exceptionally sturdy chin, added he has done a lot of hard work for this fight.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I'm really glad to be in Wroclaw. I was ten and a half weeks in training. That was a time for preparation, now is a time for the fight. I'm in great shape after training with Roger (Bloodworth). I thank God for
those weeks, it's a long time and I was able to stay healthy.”
The Adamek-Klitschko bout is going to be a mega showdown as already 40,000 tickets have been sold out. Moreover, this fight will be shown live in almost 120 countries with more than 500 million people watching it. Therefore, Adamek paid his regards to all
of his fans and everyone who have paid to watch him in action.
“I want to thank all my fans who purchased tickets & everyone that will purchase pay per view. We are showing not only Poland, but over 120 countries that this fight is a really big event,” said the 34-year-old Adamek.
The bout is certainly going to be an explosive one, as Vitali ‘Dr. Ironfist’ Klitschko has also won 42 of his 44 fights including 39 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout. However let’s see if Adamek can see off the 6ft 8” Ukrainian giant.
