Tomasz Kuszczak: "I can take over from Van der Sar"
Manchester United’s number two goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tomasz-Kuszczak-c35329 believes that he has what it takes to become the number one keeper at United. He said that Edwin Van der Sar is definitely the first choice right now, but he can overtake him. Van der Saar is most
likely to retire at the end of the current campaign, leaving a crucial position vacant in the team. Kuszczak believes that he can be the one to replace the 40 year old Dutchman and vows not let the standards at the club dip.
Sir Alex Ferguson asserted that the best goalkeeper throughout his time at United was Peter Scmeichel. Once the Danish keeper quit, it took Ferguson 11 keepers before he found Van der Saar. Ferguson said a number of times that he should have gone for Edwin
way before he did. Now he is 40 and can no longer go on, and United boss needs to find a long term replacement as soon as possible.
There are a number of candidates available for the job at Manchester United, but Ferguson is believed to be interested in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maarten-Stekelenburg-c22998, another Dutchman
who also played in the World Cup for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753, is in the list too.

well as his senior teammate.
Kuszczak said, "Every game is massive for me. I want to show that I can take over from Edwin. For us young players, we have to be ready. When we play, we must play very well."
Kuszczak's performance in his last 3 games for United was spectacular and he helped United cement their place on top of the table. He played an important role in the game in which United knocked out Liverpool from the FA Cup, to move into the 4th
round of the competition where they will face Southampton.
The Polish goalkeeper said that he knew he would have to work very hard to get the number one spot at Manchester United, and that he will continue to fight for his place. He added that it was a great honour for him to be part of such an reputed club, and
he would do all he can to become a permanent fixture in the first team.
