Tomatoes and peppers planted together?

Is it ok to plant tomatoes and peppers side by side? I know your not supossed to plant them in the same spot following season, so made me wonder if ok to have side by side?

  1. It is okay but be sure to give the tomatoes lots of room.

I do it year after year, Just watch planting around Maple trees. the tomatoes and peppers and cukes can cause the tree to get some disease that starts with a V, we call it vermicelli disease, but the real name is different, it is the little brown spots on the leaves and then the tree dies. Put a little Epsom Salts around each plant 1 table spoon, It will make the stalks bigger and the peppers hotter,

  3. tomatoes need much more watering than peppers, remember that!

  4. I have tomatoes and peppers planted side by side in rows and they are doing fine.  While I use the same bed, I alternate from one season to the next the area plants are planted.  Next year, I will plant cabbage and squash where the tomatoes and peppers are now.
