i know a tomato is a fruit but my 10 year old brother dosent believe me so what do you think is it a fruit or vegtable??? to prove him wrong

It's a fruit, characteristic with the seeds.  But we consider it a veggie...  probably because it is not naturally sugary.

Anything that contains seeds is a fruit.  This is actually the mature ovary of the plant.  Nuts, squash, even beans are also technically fruit.  This is the scientific definition.

Fruits contain seeds, veggies do not...simple as that!!!  Yes, cucumbers & squash are fruits, strawberries have seeds on the outsides, blueberries are seeds, and seedless watermelons do contain seeds...just incase you need back up on that. lol  Nice that you want to teach this to your bro.
