How is High School like? Is it like Middle School?

What happens on the first day of school, are the people mean or what? I have MST/AP classes and I am afraid it's going to be too hard. How was the first day of High School like for you guys?

  1. no if your not annoying or bitchy ppl arent mean and if your clases are to hard you can always move down just try and get to know ppl and work hard dont stress and youll b fine

  2. I haven't started high school yet but i am sure you will do fine! Make good friends, hang out with the right people, and don't get in trouble

  3. LOL, no people weren't mean.

It was just an anxious feeling I had. I was nervous and excited. Don't worry about it hon. Everything will be fine.

  4. mine was very nice

    i still remember

    you will enjoy too

    now you became bigger

  5. wow..girl calm down..i started high school 3 weeks ago..and I'm a freshman...its not as hard as it looks..don't worry..it was fun..classes WERE easy on the FIRST day..but then you get many essays..don't worry its going to be great!!

  6. Its like your first day of middle school all over again, but just like that day you'll realize its not that bad and you'll think you got all worked up over nothing. And no, no one is mean to you or actually shoves people into lockers LOL You'll be fine =]

  7. It's fine. It's awesome. One of my bff's just went into to High School and said it is cool.

  8. I just had mine and it was fine.  Just make sure you find time to study and really focus on your work.  But don't forget to have a little fun, it makes high school soo much better.

  9. everything is gunna be fine

    just some word of advice

dont try to be friends with the juniors and seniors let them come to you.

dont just stop in the middle of the hall when there's a crowd of people thats annoying and you will get shoved out of the way.

dont be afraid to ask for help from a teacher or a peer.

dont be afraid to make new friends.

yes its fine to ask the juniors and seniors for help. they probably will help you.

    dont listen to gossip.

do ALL your work and you WILL pass.

and most of all just have fun=] high school goes by really really fast. it feels like i just started freshman year but i'm starting my junior year on thursday. is insane

  10. It was a huge anti-climax for me.

No. people weren't mean, it just kind of sucked. haha.

    Just calm down and chill!

  11. Stay away from seniors giving directions unless the school has specifically given them some sort of pins that say "I can help."

They did this at my high school when I had my first day four years ago to prevent seniors from giving bad directions. Also, be on the lookout for anyone if they are throwing anything or harrasing someone. A police officer had to patrol the halls at one high school I know because people were throwing water balloons at freshmen.

My first day of high school was very easy. We were all brought into a room and they talked to us about high school and we had some seniors there offering help to anyone who needed it. Yes, people CAN be mean. Just ignore it.

I would suggest getting to school extremely early, atleast one hour maybe even more to go see where you are and the best way to get to each class. If you see a teacher ask them for shortcuts and make sure not to end up going the long way. Peek in the doors and maybe meet your teachers if they are there early.

  12. well freshman year was in jr. high. highschool for me doesn't start til this year. i'll tell you how it like, on sept 2nd lol send me your email.

  13. for sure you will be very shy and stuff like that!! try and make 1 new friend that day so u can hang out with him all day!!

  14. Just focus more on your school work and not boys. I start in september. Good luck
