Tomorrow is my cats birthday, and im having a party! What should we do?

Its really for fun for my kids. It is the black cats 9th birthday. I am making a black cat cake, wet, stinky food for him, but need a couple of "black cat" activites to make it really fun for the kids. (its going to rain Tues) Any ideas?

I think that is a great idea for kids for a rainy day!  put out a bowl

of jelly beans and see who can get the most black ones first. Have

a colouring contest who can draw the best portrait of the guest of honour. Pin the tail on the black cat picture. Have fun and wish him a very happy birthday and many more from me!

When I was little I would have loved if my parents threw a party for my cats lol. Well black cats are supost to be unlucky maybe you could incorporate something into that like make a game out of it don't let the back cat cross you path.

You could play pin the tail on that cat you could draw and cut this out of have the kids help.

Hunt the mouse/fish if you have a mouse or fish stuffed animal of little figuring hind it somewhere and have the kids search for it acting like cats.

Play Scaredy Cat - Like Frezze Tag but Have the person who is it bark like a dog and chase the cats. A person who gets taged must frezze untill another cat crawls under the frozens persons legs to untag them. The last person to get frozen is the next dog for the next round.

For a Craft you could make cat ears

Serve Gold Fish Crackers Make Sandwhiches Shaped like Paws Cut With Cookie Cutter

Make sure you make the Cat feel special make sure to sing happy birthday to him and maybe give him a special toy.

The kids can spend some time playing with the cat for the day too..

~ Read Puss in boots and cat in the hat or watch the film Aristocrats

~ Play cats cradle

~ Three blind mice - One person plays the cat, the others stand in a circle around the cat, the cat puts their hands over their eyes and repeats "three blind mice, see how they run" as many times as they wish. When they stop and say "see how they run NOW" The mice run away and the cat tries to catch them, the one to be caught then becomes the cat & the game goes on this way.

Food:

~ Tuna Sandwiches

~ Cupcakes and decorate them with smarties for the eyes and nose add red lace liquorice for the wiskers and a square chololate or biscuit cut diagonally so you get 2 triangles for the ears.

~ Chocolate mice

~ Goldfish crackers

~ Garfields Lasagne

~ Cat in the Hat's Green eggs (food coloring) and ham

~ Sylvesters 'Tweety Pie' (chicken pie)

~ Chesire Cats cheese cut into big grin shapes

~ Warm milk

and i think you should do contests

like..put pieces of contruction paper

in a hat

and whoever pulls out tha black piece geta a prize

or hool a hoop whoever can get tha longest gets to where a crown

Let the kids have a finger painting contest.  They all make a black cat on one paper and then the cats tail on the other....  After the tail is dried have them cut it out...  Now they position their pictures around the room and play pin their tail on their black cat...  the ones getting it right get a prize..  everyone gets to take this home and play with other family members.

Make cupcakes and let the kids decorate their own...  An all you can decorate and eat party

Cat calling contest...  who ever the cat comes to gets the prize...  let your kids place the cat in the center so they can be part of the contest but not take away from the other kids...
