  1. My son was born 26 Dec and there were frieworks on new years eve right outside my house....(granted he was inside but you could still hear it.) and he slept through it... But we took him for 4th off July to see fireworks (6 months at that time) and he enjoyed seeing it... he didn't cry over it, he was quite amused by the music that played in the background and the colors of the fireworks.

Depending on what time it's at he'll either sleep through it or he'll enjoy the "new" thing he's seeing!

  2. My son and baby sister both completely slept through the professional fireworks show we went to on the 4th of July. He was almost a year old and she was 7 months. Chances are he'll sleep through them. It will be fine. If he is awake though, be sure to hold him close and cover his ears a bit if he starts to fuss.

  3. Well, I don't think there would be wrong with it, but a baby that young would not care one way or the other.  But, if you want to go, then go.

  4. all three of my babies did great with the fireworks. He might be a little afraid of the sound, but if not he will love the colors. Take him there's no reason not to. :)

    Have fun!!!

  5. Probably be quite exciting for him but you might want to get some ear plugs just to be safe; or stuff some loose cotton in his ears to muffle the sharp reports.  At six months I would think his eardrums would be tender and still developing and may not have the ability to handle that much pressure without some kind of protection. Better safe than sorry with baby.

Probably wouldn't hurt to call and ask the doctor or nurse.  They know the real truth; and a phone call is free.
