Tomtom in france?

i have a tomtom which i use in the uk. im going france in a few weeks. do i need to add anything to the tomtom to use it in france. also will the instructions be in english??!! im travelling with a child, so dont want to keep getting lost.

Most Tomtoms sold in this country are only equiped with UK and Republic of Ireland maps.

To travel abroad you will need to download additional data.

There are some sites who offer free or reduced price stuff but I think you would be much safer using the official Tomtom site

To get all of Europe is around £ 60 and if you want just France it's £ 40.

As long as your Tomtom now speaks to you in English then once you have installed the new data it will continue to speak to you in English.
