VVV-Venlo head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ton-c35408 Lokhoff, has expressed his confidence that the side will be able to grind out good results in the coming weeks, and will manage to finish as far away from the relgation zone as possible.
The Venlo outfit finished 16th on the Eredivisie table last term, and had to prolong their stay in the highest echelons of the Dutch football by winning the promotion/relegation play-offs.
Venlose Trots started the 2012/13 campaign with the aim to finish at least in the top half of the league table. However, VVV have thus far deceived their fans with abysmal performances.
Occupying the last spot on the league table, VVV have an overall record of 4 played, 1 drawn and 3 lost. However, the Venlo outfit boss has expressed confidence that his side will finish at a better place at the end of the ongoing
campaign.
“We are currently placed at the bottom of the table. However, I am confident that we will be occupying a respectable spot after 34 games”, Lokhoff was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Good Old will lock horns against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 Nijmegen at McDOS Goffertstadion in their upcoming league encounter on Saturday, September 15, and the 52-year-old tactician has urged his side to put in their 100 percent on the pitch to
secure a good result.
“NEC plays very patiently. One should not make silly mistakes against them like we did against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ADO-Den-Haag-c38221. We have yet to register a win, but I am convinced that we can achieve a good result against NEC”, Lokhoff
added.
The former SBV Excelsior boss went on to reveal that his side’s main ambition is to prolong their stay in the Dutch top flight.
“We must remain active in the Dutch Eredivisie. There is enough quality in the squad, a mixture of youth and experienced players, and we can certainly finish above the relegation zone”, Lokhoff concluded.
