Can you use a plastic spoon as a subsitute when you don't have a tounge scrapper? If not, what subsitutes can you use?

  1. its a good idea, using a spoon. Try a plastic card or some thing that is flexable.


  2. Yes, try using your toothbrush because it does the job immediately as or after you brush your teeth.

    Make sure that you use enough toothpaste.  Putting 1/2 inch of unsquashed toothpaste on your toothbrush is the right amount to work with. This created lots of suds.  Take care to brush both the insides and the outsides of your teeth and end up by brushing you tongue from back to front.  About six strokes are enough.  You will have a nicer looking and healthier tongue and you don:t have to do it all the time. either.  Experience will guide you.

    So you can throw away your scrappers or spoons or whatever.

  3. Just use your toothbrush (or buy a toothbrush with a built in tongue scraper on the back).  

    Brush from back to front.
