  1. well honestly all piercings hurt no matter what you get done some hurt more then others and the tongue hurts the worst i know alot of people that got it done and they said if they had to go through with it again they won't cause its to much painful then any other piercing like your nose, navel, tragus, and ect.

The tongue is one of the most touch-sensitive organs in the body. there are alot of risk on getting your tongue pierced. i would do some research on the piercing before you get it done really.

        *  Bacterial infection (where you had the piercing)

        * Excessive (a lot of) bleeding

        * Allergic reactions (especially to certain kinds of jewelry)

        * Damage to nerves (for example, you may lose feeling at the area that gets pierced)

        * Keloids (thick scarring at the piercing site)

        * Dental damage (swelling and infection of tongue, chipped and broken teeth, choking on loose jewelry)

Tongue piercings swell a lot at first but heal fairly quickly if the right type of jewelry is used. However, metal jewelry in the tongue piercing may damage gums and chip the enamel surface on your teeth. In fact, the ADA, which stands for the American Dental Association (a group of dentists that set professional standards for dentists in the United States), is against any type of oral piercings because of all the risks. In some cases, nipple piercings can damage some of the milk-producing glands in a young woman's b*****s. This can cause infections or problems later if the woman decides to breast-feed her baby. Some pierced areas, like, navel (belly button) piercings, are more likely to become infected because of irritation from tight clothing. A pierced site needs air to help the healing process.

There is a very slight risk of serious bleeding when you have the piercing done. This is because the tongue contains lots of blood vessels. Because you naturally swallow the blood, you may not realize how much you are bleeding. Doctors at the London Hospital, UK, have given the following advice to anyone having a tongue piercing

        * The jewellery may damage your teeth and gums. A study from Ohio State University found that almost half the people wearing a tongue stud for more than 4 years had chipped teeth, and 35% had receding gums because of the stud banging against the gum (Journal of Periodontology 2002;73:289 –97). The longer the stud had been present, the worse the damage.

        * The pierced site could become infected, but this seems to be fairly unusual in the tongue compared with other parts of the body (maybe because of its good blood supply). Resist the temptation to fiddle with the newly inserted stud.

        * Because different parts of the tongue are sensitive to different tastes, some people find that a piercing affects their sense of taste. It can also cause slight difficulty in speaking clearly. If you need an operation, you will be asked to remove the tongue jewellery, because it can cause difficulties with the anaesthetic.

        * Allergy is another problem, because the metal may not be pure. You may think that you have pure gold or steel jewellery, but it may contain substantial amounts of nickel, which can cause a sensitivity. When scientists in Finland tested body jewellery, they found that 11 of the 12 items they tested exceeded the EU safety limits for nickel. Surgical stainless steel with the mark 316L is of good quality and is unlikely to cause sensitivities. Niobium is an expensive metal, but is least likely to cause sensitivities.

        * The piercing can allow bacteria to enter the bloodstream. In a recent case in the USA, the bacteria from a tongue piercing damaged the valves of the heart.

  2. well i dont know if it hurts because i dont have it done myself

but my friend who is 14 just got hers done i watched her get it done it honestly doesn't look painfull at all and i watched my mate get it done it was over very quickly the only bit that looked maybe a  painfull was the needle going through i said did it hurt she said no didnt hurt at all the piercing man said tounge piercings seem very painfull but supprisingly there not.

the only really  painfull bit she reckons was afterwards cause it was very painfull she couldnt talk hardly after the few days cause i was with her as i slept over hers.

and she couldnt eat it swelled up like a ***** ! but its slowly getting better now.

she said the after bit of the piercing is more painfull than actually getting the piercing itself.

she got  a 2 page  how to care for it after its been pierced sheet i read it and it looks very usefull

i say if you want a piercing go for it ! dont worry about pain and stuff just think how good it will look afterwards how much u really want it

    take care

    xx <3

  3. Im 16 and ive had mine done for more than a year and my mom still doesnt know. haha and my belly, and lip! lol but its cool i mean nothing special. I use to love to play with mine but its whatever now. And biting your lip while eating hurts wayyy more.

  4. I have mine done and most people can't tell unless I stick my tongue out.

I think you should wait for a while before you get it done.  You have to make sure it is done by a reputable piercing studio that is clean and sterile.

It does hurt and your tongue will swell up alot.

People who think it is for oral s*x have dirty minds.  It doesn't mean you are dirty or trashy.  It's just a way of expressing yourself.

  5. i got mine done at 14

but i took it out cause i looked like trash

    re-consider

  6. tongue  piercing is an ugly thing to even consider. do notr degrade your body with piercings or tattoos of any type

  7. trashy looking and you can die if they pierce it wrong.. have fun =)

  8. Tongue rings are not made for blow jobs. They could be used for pleasure. I have my tongue pierced. i have had it pierced for a couple years now. And yes they aren't good for your health. If you take care of them you should be fine. They make plastic tongue rings so if you don't like the medal ones. For example: i hate medal tongue rings, when your eating you could hit your teeth with it and it just hurts! That's why i like the plastic ones better. All you got to do is rinse your tongue with mouth wash twice a day, or after every meal you eat. That's what i did.

If you do get your tongue pierced, be careful of what you eat because your tongue is going to get swollen. And i always ate french fries and it just wanted me to make my eyes water because of all the salt. So the best thing to eat is cold liquids or something. Or if your tough eat whatever. ha

If some one doesn't like it on you. Don't worry about it. If you like it.. Then go for it. It is just an expression of what you are into. The same with tattoos.
