Toni Kroos hails Bayern Munich on qualifying for the Champions League knock-out stage

Kroos believes that the Reds were outstanding on the night and had nothing to lose. He opined that a loss to Borussia Dortmund at the weekend inspired his team to perform a lot better and bounce back from a tricky situation.
The player reserved praise for striker Mario Gomez, who has been in sublime form this season and scored Bayern’s second goal in the 23rd minute.
He also hailed the efforts of French winger, Franck Ribery, who collected a brace in Bayern’s emphatic win over the Yellow Submarine.
"We wanted to respond immediately after the defeat against Dortmund. We were really not happy after the match. We took advantage of a Villarreal error for our first goal, but there were phases when we let them come at us, that shouldn't be happening to us."
