The Bayern Munich midfielder has insisted that Germany were not up to the mark in the semi-final against Italy.

Die Mannschaft suffered an exit at the last-four stage of the European championship against Italy. The defeat ended the team’s hopes of securing a first major title since the European championship win in 1996. Cesare Prandelli’s
men won the game convincingly with a 2-1 margin and set up a final date with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 on Sunday, July 1.

qualified for the semi-final but failed to win the competition.
Kroos claimed that his side started the game brilliantly but the impact faded as the game progressed. He insisted that the team made many mistakes throughout the course of 90 minutes which led to the defeat. He mentioned that the
defence was fragile and gave the opposition too much room on many occasions.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man admitted that the Italians dominated the proceedings through the midfield and put in a tactically brilliant performance.

“Our link up play was quite good, but it is always the case that if you concede two avoidable goals the game will go differently. There were times when we were better than Italy, but not enough,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the player stressed that the two goals Italy scored were the result of two poor mistakes from the Die Mannschaft defence. He admitted that the team’s defence was certainly a weak point from the game against Cesare
Prandelli’s side.
“In the end we were the team that made two mistakes too many in a decisive game. This can prove deadly in a semi-final, especially against Italy,” he concluded.
