The Bayern Munich midfielder has warned his side of the threat the English side can be and is hopeful of winning his first Champions League title.
The Bavarian giants will face Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Champions League at the Allianz Arena on May 19. The German outfit downed Real Madrid in the semi-final whereas Chelsea got the better of defending champions Barcelona
in the last four clash.
Kroos claimed that the final against Chelsea will surely not be a walk in the park. He insisted that the Blues put in a brave and brilliant performance against the Catalans in the semi-final and for that they deserve all the applause.
The midfielder added that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo’s side deserve to be in the final and is looking forward to a mouth-watering final at the Allianz Arena in two weeks time.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man insisted that Bayern cannot afford to underestimate the Blues at any cost. He admitted that the team cannot slip up at this stage of the European campaign and is confident that the team will be successful
in lifting the crown.
“They defeated http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 with a gigantic defensive battle and that was not down to luck. That was 180 minutes of hard battle and so they deserve to be in the final. Anybody who under-estimates Chelsea does not have a clue,” he
was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the player also commented on the DFB-Pokal final against Borussia Dortmund. He added that the game against the German champions is also very important for Bayern as they want to win everything. He admitted that
a double comprising of the Champions League and the German Cup would mean a successful campaign.
“It is such a huge event, this game is so electrifying, but Dortmund is also roaming around in our minds - that game is similarly important,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will face Borussia Dortmund at the Olympiastadion on May 12 before taking on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at home on May 19. The Reds have had a brilliant season thus far in Europe whereas they will finish second in the league.
