Question:

Tonight's Ghost Hunter preview?

It looks like the same place they went on a different show where there's a group - the leader is a lady and one is a psychic or something. Anyway it's a library and there was a ghost there interacting with them answering questions (allegedly). But a book fell off a shelf so they asked if she could find them a book on Shakespeare and one fell off that was - there were a couple others. Anyway it might be interesting tonight (the new episode).

And my question is, will they find anything substantial? EVP? Full body apparition? Or was the other show just faked? (I've pretended I'm a ghost knocking books off the shelf before - especially when I was filing for community service hours).

  1. Maybe tonight will be the night. This will be it,the final proof we've been waiting for.Get ready to be frightened.I know how they're going to do it.They will turn on the lights. All will be revealed.

  2. I bought some of their DVDs and some of what they experience is very real.....I have experienced and spoke to spirits face to face... more than Taps can comprehend.

  3. The show looks real but some of the things they do looks fake

  4. If they said, "Knock off a book by Shakespeare" and Hamlet fell off the shelf, then it was staged.

Any EVPs (that aren't hoaxes) are just auditory pareidolia.

I think it's fair to give the group some time to conduct some investigations, but It's funny how you can have a show go on as long as TAPS has without a shred of evidence.  They seem to exist on nothing more than "what if..." and "maybe..."

  5. Ha.  This show is one of the funniest reality shows on television.

Faked?  What do you think?   Do you think that so called "ghosts", are actually doing these things?

If you do,  I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I want to sell you.

EVPs?  Full body apparitions?  Get real guy.  You know what this is about.

  6. Does anyone find it interesting that YA skeptics won't accept statistically significant results from scientific experiments in parapsychology but instead want proof like a ghost knocking off a book when they are asked to and then say when it happens, without any investigation, that it was faked while at the same time professing to be teaching and applying the principles of science rather than their own belief system?

I would have to watch the episode and ask questions about the investigation to look for possible opportunities where fraud was possible and then making the claim I would have to show that the hypothesis of fraud could produce the observed results.

But, I am only human and only have the tools of science to assist me in research. It would be so much easier if I automatically knew everything like the YA skeptics.

Of course the events could have been faked but their claims wait examination.
