Tonka Toys?

What happened to them. Went out to buy a Tonka truck for the neighbours son and could not find anything that wasn't made out of plastic and looked like it would come apart before I got to the checkout counter.

I ended up buying a wooden truck from the hobbyist up the road.

When did Tonka start the big backward slide into CHEAPDOM?

It's the 21st century. All companys are going downhill like this, and it's really sad. Just look at major car companies with all those Japanese-made cars or whatever. Everything is cheap except home-made stuff. That's funny cuz it used to be the other way around. Sorry I rambled.....

When Hasbro bought the company! It's ruined all sorts of toys by acquiring once-quality toy companies.
