Tonsil tissue left after tonsillectomy?

I had a tonsillectomy 2 weeks ago. There is no tonsil tissue on my right side, but on the left there is still a bit of tissue left. Is this normal? Will it cause my tonsils to grow back?

I had a complete tonsilectomy and they both grew back! It's true. If a piece is left behind, it is a part of the body tissue that can grow back. I went to a doctor years later and he told me I had tonsilitis. when I told him I had them removed, he said they can and did grow back. They are there now!

body parts dont grow back. im sure once it's completely healed it will be fine. ask your doc if ur very concerned. good luck!
