  1. knowing from experience what it is like to miss so much time of school, it is extremely difficult. last year was my freshman year also and in the end of 8th grade i messed up my knee pretty bad and pretty much blew it apart, and it wasnt discovered until late September in my freshman year, and i needed to have reconstructive surgery done. needless to say i missed the entire month of November. one of the best things i would advise you to do is have a friends who are in your classes, come and bring you your homework and stay and help you with it when you are feeling up to it. have them bring you notes and make sure you request with your teachers that your assignments be given to certain people. i considered getting a tutor but with the school schedule and all my doctor's appointments it wasnt really possible, i had appointments on the day my tutor was free to help me. and my grades suffered. well just my math grade. but seriously if it is at all possible get a tutor or a teacher that is willing to come and help you. my homeroom teacher who is a math teacher came once a week for the entire month of november instead of having a tutor and it helped my grades a lot, i wasnt failing anymore. so get some friends to help you out, and ask your teachers in your weaker subjects if it is possible to get a tutor. missing that much school is tough and i know what you are feeling, nervous about the procedure and even more nervous about school. its tough. just try to get some people to come and help you.
