Tonsillectomy on Thursday! HELP!?

I'm 21 years old and I'm getting my tonsils removed on August 21. My college starts on Sept. 2. Will I be okay as I have 3 classes on that day. Also, how long after surgery will I be able to go home? I'm assuming it's the same day but about how many hours after the surgery?

You usually go home right after the operation, usually an hour or so after the anesthesia wears off..   You will have a (very)  sore throat for several days as the incision heals.  You should be fine before September 2nd.
