Tonsils and snoring???????

will my snoring stop or at least not be as loud after i get my tonsils out ? i am getting them out on monday as they are enlarged

  2. Tonsils has nothing to do with snoring.   Both tonsils and snoring can be cured with homeopathic medicines.  Consult a good doctor.  Removing tonsils are like removing the security guards at your gate.  

  3. There is a review article called "The Sleep Apnoea Syndromes" by K. G. van Houwellingen et al that you can get on line by selecting the PDF format at http://eurheartj.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/...  These people have reviewed lots of studies on snoring and sleep apnoea, and they say: "Removal of enlarged tonsils and adenoids is beneficial if they contribute to a narrowing of the oropharynx." (The oropharynx is where your mouth joins your throat).

    So if your tonsils are partially blocking your airway, then having them out probably will help your snoring once you heal because snoring is usually connected to a narrowed airway and relaxed tissue in your throat.
