Tonsils drained today?? Anyone know anything about it?? Help Would Be appreciated !

Ok.. I had a very bad tonsil infection and i could not even swallow. Today I had my tonsils drained, a small incision was cut in the back of my throat and it looks a little deep. The doctor wants to see me back in 2 days.. What are the chances of infection with the open cut? How long will it take for the cut to heal?? Smoking is also out of the question am i right?

That's right you shouldn't be smoking for at least a week and as well rinse your mouth with luke warm salted water every few hours and the infection is guaranteed to cleared as loong you don't smoke . I am surprise you doctor hasn't given you any antibiotics . Good luck and I hope you get well soon . Have a great day
